Hi, i would like to know how to do configuration free tibo, because i am not familiar with that process, and i am not willing to pay for configuration. There are lot of options, so can someone show me how to start with configuration?

Hi,
To setup a TiVo DVR, you will not need your cable box. But you still have to continue your cab le services. Replace your cable plugs with TiVo plugs and connect it directly to the socket in order to deliver cable TV programming. Here’s a step by step process:

1. You need to connect your TiVo device to your TV via the HDMI cable which is included in your TiVo package. Another alternative is to use the ordinary cables if you wish.

2. Using your cable company’s coax cable, connect your TiVo device to the cable TV source. Usually Cable Company comes with a cable card; you need to attach this into the back of your TiVo device.

3. With a wired Ethernet cable connect your device to your internet source. Check the image below for a better graphical presentation:

4. Plug your TV and a guided setup program will start. Just follow the instructions on the screen and once you’re done you can have a fantastic TiVo experience.
