I’ve been searching high and low and cannot find a way to disconnect with the iSeries using RPGLE / CGI. I have a security application that works very well. The login page is displayed by default and all is well. But I would like to add a "logout" button for web pages and display the login page again, instead of closing the browser. Is there an Application Programming Interface (API) that can be used to send the request disconnection? Any help?
How to disconnect with the iSeries?
Before you even go to the application programming interface, I will suggest that you look at the cabling and any issues in the switch port, because such issues might be the ones causing problems when you try to disconnect the iseries. The operating system that you are using should not matter though, for the application should work perfectly with any operating system. You should also apply the latest patches of windows updates to the machine in case the old versions have some problems that are resulting to the problem. You can install the patches by using the windows updater, or you can as well download them from the Microsoft site.
