Hi community,

A few days ago I bought Dell Inspiron n5110, Intel Core i5-2410M processor (2.3GHz, 3MB cache, 2.9GHz Turbo Boost), basically for gaming but I’m stumped before start to run.
The environment flashes that my system may work at 2.9GHz. If there is a need of Turbo Boosting because its i5 stuff, well.
This Error Message emerged while trying to install this Dell Application Software

"Intel Turbo Boost Technology Monitor Software Application 2.0"
Driver ID  R292474.EXE… for windows 7, 64 bit
The Error Message is displayed below:

Intel® Turbo Boost Technology Monitor 2.0 – InstallShield Wizard

Installation cannot continue because this computer does not have a processor with Intel ® Turbo Boost Technology capability. This application requires an Intel® Core™ i7 processor, Intel Core i7 processor Extreme, or Intel Core i5 processor with Intel Turbo
Boost Technology. For more information, see http:www.intel.com/technology/turboboost.

My question is how can I confirm that my System does not Support Turbo Boosting Technology?
I am in a hurry!

Thanks for any reply in advance.

There are a couple of ways to find it out . but let me say

All i5 processors have turbo boost technologies . You can check that out in many ways.
I suggest using the world famous application CPU-Z to check almost every details on all the components inside your CPU.
You can download CPU z from their official site ,
i have posted the link to download it below :-
https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

Go to it and download it and then install it , opening the application will show the entire details including whether it supports turbo boost or not .
OR the other method is doing it manually through BIOS
Just restart your pc and when BIOS screen comes press F2 to get into bios and then a page which appears with all the details of your PC . Better not to change any options in it without proper knowledge cause it can affect your PC .
Just check the features and you can see if the turbo boost is in disabled mode just enable it or if you see the turbo mode in DIMMED or cannot select means your CPU does not support the turboboost .
If that's the case just call the dell service Centre and tell this
LET ME TELL YOU
ALL i5 SUPPORTS TURBO BOOST !!!!!
