How to delete duplicated songs on WMP11

The entire songs I have in my files have a lot of duplicates from other album folders. I have own several compilation of album sets.  As I said, some songs were multiplied. And since the songs have duplicates, my computer is running out of space. I really want to delete those duplicates and have one copy of each song. Does anyone know how to track the duplicated songs so that I can delete it?  Can I possibly use shortcut like ‘pointer file’ whenever I see the duplicates of the songs? If so, how can I have this? I merely want to edit the songs’ data, like Album Name and Song Artist, into that pointer file so that I will know if the specific song we’re multiplied on my compilation library. By the way, I’m using Windows Vista Home Premium (Build 6000) as my OS and WMP 11 Library.

Hi,

For your duplicate mp3 file you can download duplicate file finder software.

 software has this feature:-

1 It is find duplicate file that have same name

2 Has find duplicate file that has Sam size.

3 it is also find duplicate video and picture.

4 It is fastest also.

With this tool you can find duplicate file and delete them from your hard disk.

When duplicate file will delete from your hard drive then it will not play in windows media player. So, you can delete duplicate mp3 song that cannot run and existing in media player list, you can delete that name by right click them
