Hello Allen,

Your question is found in windows 7 category, Since windows 7 has already got the control panel icon in start menu.

I think Your icon has been disabled some how.

Here is a way to restore your Control Panel icon in start Menu.

Please follow the steps:

1. Go to Start menu, using your mouse right click on any empty space you see.

2. Go to Properties > Customize

3. A list of options will appear right in front of you, find Control Panel.

4. Under the control panel option please select Display as Link and hit the Ok button.

5. Confirm your action by clicking ok.

This will bring back your missing control panel icon in start menu.

Thanks
