I have bought a 16GB USB Stick and it is covered under guarantee. However, it is not working properly. I want to copy a file to it from my PC which is about 12 GB. Let me be clear that it's project materials and my mate needs it pronto but I'm unable to copy the file. What should I do?

If your USB device and new as u say that. And you are getting problem in that, You have to format first. After that check that it is working or not. It can be hardware issue in USB disk. If you are getting problem after format then may be your USB is crashed. So contact to your service center for resolution.
