How To Connect Voip Phone To Router
Hi. The steps to learn how to connect VoIP phone to router include to power down the device including the modem, then to connect the Ethernet cable to the Internet port of the router, then to connect the Ethernet cable from the LAN port to the numbered port on the router following which you should connect the computer to the router. Then, connect a phone with the RJ-11 connector to the line port of the IAD and then check the dial tone after lifting the receiver.
To make the modem act as a bridge on the router, connect the IAD to the modem, then place the IAD in the DMZ zone of the router by configuring the router for VoIP and check the two-way audio after disabling the built-in firewall.
