Hi payal,

It's easy to configure your CISCO router. Just follow these simple steps:

  1. First of all , you need to connect your Cisco router to the COM port, using the serial cable.
  2. You can use a  Linux program called "Minicom" to configure the router, to the serial port. Just type, "minicom" at the shell prompt i. e $ minicom.
  3. Now select the port, speed and /dev/ttyUSB0 as the COM1 port.
  4. Now save the configuration as dfl. Now select EXIT.
