I’m wondering how to conduct a table sorting with the present form of a cell on Internet Explorer. It works perfectly with Mozilla Firefox. I just observed that it works if the text has the symbol “”. Do you think that symbol might cause the entire problem?

No its not with the symbol but rather the browser itself. It seems that the cell your are trying to sort is not supported by the Internet Explorer. It might be using a different kind of script like PHP for example. I'll give you a tip, if you are sorting a table that has a .ASP or .ASPX in the URL, then it means that it is pretty compatible with the Internet Explorer. On the other hand, if you see words like PHP or JSP then you might need to install more plug-ins or you might want to change your browser to view those data that you need.

Mozilla is good and it seems that you test it already. Google Chrome, Opera and Safari are good versions of web browser.  Also try updating your Internet Explorer to the latest version which is version 9.
