Could you please tell me how can I close a form or any other data that can be found in design view if I have the DB set to tabbed and not display tabs?

To close any of your forms or tables you should double click on the name of this element, which is shown on the left side of MS Access. Then you will get a preview of how it looks in design view. There, you will see this:
To close you can click on the "x" button on the right corner, or you can right click on the tab and then click "Close".
