Is there a way I can chat with friends in the same network without using a chat software? I read somewhere that I just need the IP address and the command prompt. I need someone to teach me how to chat with IP address. I have a Windows XP 32 bit system. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, there is a very simple command on how to send message for someone or your friend to the same network just follows these syntax: net send {name | * | /domain[:name] | /users} message. Just go to run then type CMD then the DOS or command prompt will appear then type “ net send (PC name) “ ( your message) “ example “net send PC1 “Hi there, how are you?”
