How to change Mac for pocket ppc?

Hi Experts,
 

I am using two Toshiba Pocket PC with the same Mac addresses. But I want to add restriction to my Wireless Access Point so I need to change my Pocket PC Mac addresses but I don't know how to do it. Can someone please help me?

Hello Roger,

First of all you will need to note that MAC Address is a hardware coded address which is meant so assure it is completely unique to that a device and any attempt to duplicate the MAC address to any other machine worldwide will not be possible at all. The only MAC addresses that can be duplicated are those of the cables and the DSL routers.

Otherwise, you can use the following procedure to trace the MAC address on your pocket PC and see if you can alter it successfully:

  • On the PC, go to Settings, and then Connections menu.
  • After that find and then choose the pocket PC's WLAN utility.
  • And then go to the Advanced for Information Tab. You should see the MAC address there.
