How to change a Laptop into a WiFi Hotspot?

There are 2 programs you can use to convert any laptop into a Wi-Fi hotspot, without having to do any network configurations.  The first one is mHotspot and the second is WiFi Hotspot Creator.  Below I will give you details on both.

1. mHotspot

This is a free piece of software that can convert your Windows laptop (running Windows 7 or 8) into a secure Wi-Fi hotspot. As I am not sure which version of Windows you are running, I will assume you have either Windows 7 or 8 and can use this program. 

Features of mHotspot:

• Share any internet connection (LAN, Ethernet, 3/4G or Wi-Fi, etc.) for up to 10 devices
• You can connect laptops, smartphones, iPads, etc. to this single connection
• You can play multiplayer games
• You can name your hotspot anything you want to
• Secure Wi-Fi hotspot with WPA2 PSK password security feature
• Acts as a repeater to extend your Wi-Fi range

Once you have installed the software, it is very easy to use.

 

• Enter the name you would like to call your hotspot
• Choose a password that contains a minimum of 8 characters
• You can also set the maximum number of devices that can connect to your hotspot (max 10)
• Click on the start hotspot button to make your own Wi-Fi hotspot

2. WiFi Hotspot Creator

This program is very easy to use and configure – even if you are a beginner.  WiFi Hotspot Creator supports an unlimited amount of users to your hotspot.  You provide the name of your hotspot, give it a password, and every user that tries to connect to it has to provide the password on connect. It is accessible to run on Windows XP, Vista and Vista 64-bit, Windows 7 and Windows 7 64-bit as well as Windows 2008.
