Internet download manager is supposed to increase the speed but in my case it is more of a nuisance.

In order to change IDM resume yes to all I changed the settings but It frequently hangs at 99% or downloaded file or shows corrupted file on a resume.

I have Windows 7 installed on my system.

What should I do?

There are a lot of reasons by which your IDM could not resume the downloading:
Some Firewall or Antivirus application that controls the traffic.
This problem can also occur by changing the proxy setting of IDM.
The original link might be changed.

To solve above problems you should try these steps:
Turn off the antivirus and firewall.
Cancel the proxy setting.
Right click on the download which had been cancelled and choose “REFRESH DOWNLOAD ADDRESS”.

Hi Abigail,

The resume option is set by the download provider.

IDM collects the value and always appear on the screen.

If, you see "NO" then don't interrupt its downloading.

Don't stop at the middle of downloading.

Let it be downloaded 100% without stopping or pausing.

Thanks.
