How to Change Default Browser?

Every time when I install Opera, it performs as a default browser, even when one or more than one browser are installed (eg: Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox etc.). I want to change my default browser to Mozilla Firefox. What should I do? I'll be very glad if I get the answer.

Thank you.

Hello Avijit Das,

When you will use more than one web browser (like Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, Internet Explore) windows need to know which one you set as default. Here is a easy and simple way to solve it.

  • First of all you need to open your Mozilla Firefox (Cause you want to make it as default)

  • Look at the top of Firefox window, Click on the Tools menu and select Options
  • Then select the Advance panel, then click the General tab, and then click Check Now (see the image below)

Firefox options Menu
  • And finally select Yes to set Firefox as your default browser.

It can help you, Good day!

Hi,

You need to change your internet file’s properties for use Mozilla Firefox as default browser. For this first you need to find a file wilt .html extension which I am calling internet file. Then right click on it and go to its properties. If you do not find any internet file in your computer then create a new notepad and save with .html extension. Or you can find internet files in this location on your computer C:WINDOWSWeb.

Whatever it is just right click on it and go its properties and then click on change button beside open with option. Now just select Mozilla Firefox in this box and click ok. It will do the rest

Choose open with Program
