Hello Sophiaa

It’s possible to make partition on network drive. If you want to do it manually then connect NAS via browser and format the entire drive then you can start partition.

Make sure you format it otherwise whole process will be in share mode and you will be not able to partition it.

You can use windows magic network partition software to make partition in network.

Hi Sophiaa,

Yes you can partition a network drive on windows XP as well as on Windows Vista and windows 7 also.

1. First  set up shares on the network drive from where you want to share the drive.

2. After that map up a drive in your windows which after mapping it will work as a partition, assigned it any letter.

3. After mapping it will be visible as a separate partition in your windows with the letter you assigned during the second step.

Best Wishes,

Jackson William
