Hi there, I am Karlos,

Here is a step by step guide on how to enable Active Directory authentication for ESXi:

  1. Go ahead and Log on to your ESXi hosts locally and choose Configuration.
  2. Look at the left side of the dialog box and choose Authentication Services and then choose Properties.
  3. From Select Directory Services Type drop down, choose Active Directory.
  4. In Domain Settings, add your domain by either simply adding mydomain.local or specify a different OU where you want the ESXi computer account to be located, like mydomain.local/vsphere.
  5. Choose Join domain to provide credentials.
  6. Add the Active Directory users or group to the ESXi host and then assign your desired role.
