I can't activate Google voice on my Galaxy Ace S5830 with Android Gingerbread (v 2.3).  I have a Google search box with voice search but when I click that, it says "This app is not compatible with your phone".  Do I still have to install an apk app in Google voice commands on Galaxy Ace?

Hi,

Follow this instruction:

  • At first Choose “Menu” and then “Settings”
  • Select  “Applications” then “Manage Applications”
  • Find a way to “Show All” your Apps in this “Manage Applications area”
  • Find the App called “Voice Search” and Select it
  • Press the “Clear Data” button (yes, do it)
  • Go Home
  • Go to the Market and Search for the “Voice Search” App by Google
  • Select the Free “Voice Search” App and Download it or Update it to your phone
  • If asked, say “Yes”, you are OK letting Google watch your voice commands corrections

The apk file is available here.

Hope to enjoy it.

Thanking you
