How can I see my FAT partition in Linux?

I have got a problem that I cannot see my fat partition in my windows OS.

I format the disc makfs.vfat command; in Linux OS it is working well, so what I suppose to do now?

Hi Riley,

I have got your problem, you need to check about partition ID, if your hard disc partition ID is not “b” you cannot see your device on Windows PC.

There are different IDs for different partitions example:

Linux default       83
Linux swap          82
Linux 95 FAT        b
Linux LVM             8e
Linux RAID           fd
