I want to network my machines- Win.7 and a WinXP one.
When I share the folders in Win 7 it works perfectly but when I shared the folders in the Win XP machine,
I can't view them in my Win.7?
Well Eric, it depends on the editions of your windows. For windows xp, if you have the home edition then there are issues in joining the domain of a network. Same is the case with a windows 7 operating system. Win7 home edition doesn't let you join a domain and share resources such as Fax, scanner and printer etc. However, if you have the professional edition of the windows, then networking is not a problem.
You can easily configure your PCs to be on a same network and share all the data and resources with each other. You will need a router and create a homegroup and then do the process of Network sharing. You can set a password as well if you want to have a secured environment.

Team Viewer helped a lot to complete the work for now. Also the procedure of creating a homegroup to connect both PCs enabled to configure what was desired.
