Please follow below steps.

First you have to Add the computers to the same workgroup

To add a computer to a workgroup, click Start, Control Panel, System, go to the Computer Name tab and click the Change button. you can do it as seen in picture.

If your operating system is windows xp,

In order to unblock File and Printer Sharing in Windows XP firewall, go to Control Panel, Windows Firewall, and in the Exceptions tab select the File and Printer Sharing as shown below.
