I have found an error when I open most of the pdf files. It says " There was an error opening this document . " I am using Adobe acrobat x on mac platform . These files are saved on my desktop . these were opened previously but now I can't open. How can I fix this error on Adobe acrobat x import obj ?

               Maybe there is a problem with your files, maybe it is corrupted. Try to open it in other computer; if you still can’t open it the file might be corrupted. But if your file can be open in other computer, your Adobe Acrobat Reader X has the problem. Try reinstalling your Adobe Acrobat Reader X or get a new installer of it and then install it on your computer.

This is a common error you mentioned with adobe reader 10. Many users are still having the same issue you mentioned., and found out that there was an issue with the Adobe reader 10 version. So here is the solution to fix the problem.
1. Uninstall Adobe reader 10 from your system completely.
2. Also delete the left over adobe folder manually to make sure it's fully uninstalled.
3. Download Adobe reader 9 and install it.
4. open your files again.
You will no longer see the error message again.
