I have tried to install DU Meter on my computer, but I keep getting an error saying that the installation cannot be completed. I am able to install other applications without any problems. The surprising part is that the application installs in another computer. What could be the problem? Please advise.

1, Restarting your PC works in some cases when the DUMeter-Install.exe error is not too severe to repair. Rebooting the system  actually works because it gives your machine the chance to reopen necessary programs, including the DUMeter-Install.exe required by windows and the software you are running on it.
2, Reopen the DUMeter-Install.exe related program  also helps. But before that, you have to close all open applications. (There are times you need to open the Task Manager to end the process running on the background.) Then open the applications again and doing the same things you were doing when the DUMeter-Install.exe problem started.
3, Trying the registry restore can be another solution to solve the DUMeter-install.exe error though sometimes frustrating. And, the key step is to set the restore date to before you started experiencing this problem.
If you are able to install DU Meter before but now it keeps failing, one possible reason is that the trial period has expired. First, check the system requirements and verify your computer meets those requirements. The latest version at the moment, DU Meter 7, supports Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10 including Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2016.
Windows XP and Windows Vista are no longer supported in DU Meter 7. DU Meter can be download and used for free for up to thirty (30) days. After the trial period, you need to buy a license to continue using it or uninstall it from your computer.
If you need to download the old version, go to the Download DU Meter 5.x and earlier page and download the version you need. Note: the old versions are no longer supported. The old versions are still offered for download as a service for existing registered DU Meter users only.
If you are not a registered user or you don’t have a license, you cannot download any of the old versions.
