How can I enable boot scan in avg 2011? I just installed this new avg 2011 antivirus in my dell computer desktop with an operating system of windows 7 starter. Kindly assist me on the process of enabling boot scan in avg 2011 antivirus please? I hope you can instruct me on what to do.

  1. Open AVG Free.
  2. Click Tools to setup.
  3. Click Advanced Settings.
  4. Select the plus sign next to Schedules.
  5. Click Scheduled scan.
  6. Select "Action based" under the "Schedule settings" tab.
  7. Set the time delay to start the scan when the computer boots. Select "Zero" to start the scan immediately.
  8. Click "OK" to save your settings.

Hello Jeffrey,

Thanks for sharing your problem with us, according to me AVG is not capable of running boot time scan. You can run the scan in safe mode or use the AVG Rescue CD for scanning. For more information about the AVG Rescue CD
