You need to download corporate version for the software and check that your system is compatible for the software you are downloading and install the software that is supported by your Mac OS, I am sure you will be able to solve your problem.

Since I’m not a Mac user I don’t have an instant solution to this problem though it is similar to resetting the password on Microsoft Windows and it’s very easy to give an instant solution if you were only using this one. But anyway, I found a solution to this matter which was discussed by another Mac user in reply to somewhat same kind of problem. The solution is actually very similar as with Microsoft Windows. You have two options if you want to reset the password on your Mac computer.

The first is by completely reinstalling your operating system using your installer disc. This also means formatting your hard drive to prepare it for the new installation or maybe you can also do it from within the installer CD. This would give a lot of work since you will need to install again all the applications previously installed on your computer. Before doing this be sure to create a backup of your important files so you can restore them or copy them again after the installation. If you don’t want to do this step, you may try the other option discussed below.

  • If you have enabled any Open Firmware password protection, disable it first.
  • Start or open your computer from the Mac OS X installer CD. Press and hold C while the machine starts.
  • From the installer menu, select Reset Password. You will only see this menu if you started your computer from the Mac OS X installation CD. You can do this by booting your computer using the CD/DVD drive and not from your computer’s hard drive.
  • Select the Mac OS X hard drive volume.
  • Select or enter your original administrator account. But remember not to choose "System Administrator (root)" because this is the reference to the root user and is different from the normal administrator account.
  • Enter the new password then hit Save.

And another thing, if you don’t have your original Mac OS X installer CD with you, you can use the version closest to the one installed on your Mac computer.
