Hi, I’m using Quickbook pro 2008 to do some accounting works. I have some older quickbook files on version quickbook pro 2002. So, How can I change those files to convert quickbooks 2002 to 2008.?

Hello,

When you install the Quickbook 2008 version you can find and select files from older version with Open Company feature. Then Quickbook 2008 will update all the files from 2002 to run as 2008. Now will be made backup like Quickbook 2002 backup and will update all the files in Quickbook 2008 format. If you have a lot of files, it will take longer time for doing that procedure.

I hope this will help you!

Hi Woodie,

Converting your Quickbook pro 2002 file can be easy task, you just need to open the 2002 file on your Quickbooks 2008 version it will go automatically convert your file to the later version. However, you must need to create a back up from the Quickbooks 2002 version first one for simple back up and one for portable file this makes sure that you still have your file intact. Along with that you must keep in mind that this is not backwards compatible once you convert your file to the latest version you cannot open it on the older version.
