Hallo Experts!

I have been in charge of all the emailing and documentation of all the minutes of our Agency. Most of the time I have been using a Dell laptop for all the tasks. I have lately acquired a Samsung Galaxy S3. How can I configure Samsung Galaxy S3 Lotus Notes email? Is it possible to import all the data and or information that would be left in the Dell laptop?

Hi Gregory,

Since you will be using Samsung Galaxy S3, you need to download a Lotus Launcher
which is compatible in your android phone. After the installation, configure Lotus Launcher so that you can start using it.

For the software, you can download it on this link:

Steps in configuring Lotus Launcher

1. Launch the application, choose the  connection type if it's HTTP or HTTPS. To determine it, open your
Internet browser in your computer and go to the mail login page and note the first letters of the URL.

2. Also, take note of the URL address of your mail server which can be found after the http:// which you will
Be using later on. It similarly looks like mailserver.com

3. Get also the database name, which has an extension of .nsf which can be found also
On the login page. And then type in your username and password, same settings that you used when
You login to your mail through the web browser

4. Choose the authentication type which the most secured post method.finish the configuration until
Setup is complete. there are additional options that you can import like calendar, security lock or
Pattern lock depending on your needs.

If you just need to check mails on your lotus through your android phone, Lotus Launcher 2 is applicable and available in android market free of charge. But if you want synchronize contacts and calendar, IBM Lotus notes Traveler is what you need which is supplied by IBM with charge.

Thanks.
