So how can i back-up and restore android contacts to my Google account?
How can i backup and restore Android contacts to my Google account?
Based on the architecture of back-up that Google uses, they don't back-up everything. Before restoring your contacts to your device, you must have to copy the contacts to your Google account. If you don't have a Google account, make sure you create one before you can do your back-up. Sign up to Google to create and account.
You can be able to restore Pictures, Data, WiFi settings through Google depending on the type of android device that you have. Do the following in order to back-up your contacts and other useful data;
Step 1: Turn on your backups on your android device by clicking: Settings -> Privacy -> Then check the "Back up my data" and "Automatic Restore" checkbox.
Step 2: Now you have to enable syncing so that the backup can take place based the android device. Follow the steps to enable syncing. Setting -> Account and Sync -> Then select the kind of data that you want to synchronize. Examples of information you might want to sync is: Contacts, pictures, emails etc
Step 3: This stage is using a backup app to now do the backup to your Google account. Download any backup and then launch the backup to your Google account.
Restoring Backed Up Information to your android device: This is fairly simple. Once the information was backed up, then it is very simple to restore it back to the device. Once you wipe your android device and it is ready for use again, then Google will automatically restore all your contacts and backed up information for you.
