It is quite easy to disable UAC. You can do it in many ways, I will explain some. But remember it is not recommended by Microsoft to turn UAC off.

1. Open User account from the control panel. Now click on the option turn user account control on or off. If it asks for a password enter the password.

2. Open RUN from start menu and launch MSconfig from RUN.

  • Now in the new window appeared click on tools.
  • Here you can find an option to disable UAC, click on it and press launch.
  • When done close MSCONFIG and restart your computer.

3. You can also do it from control panel.

  • Just click on windows security settings and disable UAC.

Hello Arshad,

Vista has come up with some additional security features. So not all but some programs will ask you for administrative privileges through UAC.

Therefore there are various steps to bypass UAC. You can also disable UAC so that next time whenever you start DotNet UAC won't pop up anymore. In order to configure User Account Control you can go to Start and type secpol.mask and click enter.

To disable User Account Controls Go to Control Panel in that go to User Accounts and go to Change Security Setup. Turn it off and that it your UAC is disabled.

Hope this works. Best of Luck.

Thanks.
