How to attach file in Lotus Notes 6.5 without affecting folders order?

Lotus Notes – Attachment Screen Wrong Order. I am running on Windows XP and using Lotus Notes 6.5.

When I choose a file as attachment, the dialog box shows the folders and files in a reverse order.

I tried right-clicking and sorting by name, but then I would have to do it in every folder and subfolder.

Do you have any advice on this problem?

Hallo Maribel,

Maybe you are going somewhere during the process of attaching the files in lotus notes. I will advise you to use the following procedure and see if it will save you the trouble:

  • With lotus notes opened, you will need to open the message that you need to attach the file to and then you will place your cursor in the location within the message where the attachment will be. Immediately you attach you will see a small icon that represents the file.
  • You will then choose the "File" menu from the screen and then choose "Attach" so as to compress the file into a smaller format. Thereafter, you will browse for the file location, and you have to ensure that you choose both the drive and directory to find your file and thereafter press "Create."
  • After that you will need to proof the message and then select "Send."

That should help attach the file successfully in lotus notes.

Regards

Mahesh Babu
