In documents having many paragraphs, the appearance of the documents can be improved by increasing the spacing between paragraph. Where in Word, is the built-in option that allows you to add such space?

Hi Jagodish,

As far as I know that thing is not working with what are you saying. So for me it’s impossible to do that. There are a lot of ways you can do that. Such as, in home as you see there is a “no space” normal, heading 1 2 3.

There are a lot of ways. So I suggest explore each and everyone in your documents.

Don’t be so afraid to try a thing in your application or in your system. there is nothing going to happened when try to do that. Just experiment on it. I know you can do that.

Thanks.

Hi Jagodish,

We have a built-in option in Word which increases space between paragraphs. It is very useful to people who has to do work mostly in Word.

  • Just right click in your Word document, and go to Paragraph option. There you can find the Spacing, Indents etc. Settings you can change for the paragraph. Here you can preview how your settings will affect the paragraph.

I have attached the screen shots which can help you make necessary changes to the paragraph.

Please have a look. Hope this solves your problem. Good luck.

Thanks,

SriNike.

Hello

If you use Microsoft word 2003 or 2002, follow the following steps.

  • Select the desired paragraphs, from the format menu select paragraph.

In the paragraph dialogue box, be sure that the indents and spacing tabs is the active tab

From the spacing section specify the required spacing above paragraphs in the before section and the desired spacing below paragraphs in the after section then press ok.

  • If you use Microsoft Word 2007, follow the following steps:
  • Right click the desired paragraph, then select paragraph.

In the paragraph dialogue box, be sure that the indents and spacing tabs is the active tab, from the spacing section specify the required spacing above paragraphs in the before section and the desired spacing below paragraphs in the after section then press ok
