Hi techyv,

Standard chinese font free download is not working. I tried to install the font for my Microsoft word 2007 application just for fun. I want to try another language and see how cool it looks like. But it seems like there are some compatibility issues. Can you share with me some points to be considered? I am using windows 7 operating system.

Hoping for your help and kind consideration.

There are no issues in compatibility in fonts when it comes to WIN 7. Programs like Photoshop, MS Office never gives compatibility issues when used in WIN 7. Those errors are rare. My point is that there should be a problem with the font file you downloaded. In most cases those font files compressed in small data files. So the probability is high to being files getting corrupted.

* You should try installing another font in order to make sure whether there is a compatibility issue. You can simply install any file by "drag and dropping" the font file on the "Fonts" folder. You can find the "Fonts" folder by searching it on the Windows search bar located after clicking "Start" button. After installing correctly the Font should be shown in MS Word.

* Also you can try reinstalling the font you already downloaded in the above way. (In case there is no other way to install fonts to WIN7). My guess is the compressed file that you downloaded should have an error or corrupted.
