Hello Toby,

Yes, there is a way to connect ps3 to a VPN and the step by step guide is given below.

But before you start you need a crossover cable to connect your PS3 to the computer. These cables are available at any electronics store.

So before you start planning on connecting your PS3 to a VPN, get a crossover cable first. Now the steps are as follows:
  • Don’t connect your PS3 to the computer yet.
  • First go to the computer menu and select Control Panel and then Network Sharing Centre.
  • Now go the “Change adapter settings” and right click “local area connection” and then “properties”.
  • Double click on “IP 4” settings.
  • Click the check box where it says “use following IP address”.
  • Under the IP address section fill 192.168.0.1 and under subnet mask fill 255.255.255.0 and click ok.
  • Right click on VPN in your Network and Sharing Centre and choose “Main Sharing”.
  • Next to “Allow other network to connect”, click to choose the check box.
  • At the top you will see a menu called “Home Networking Connections”, go there.
  • You will see PS3 or Local Area Connection, now choose whichever you see.
  • Now click Ok without changing anything else.
  • Now after closing everything, connect PS3 to the computer using crossover cable and connect PS3 to the internet using the computer.
  • Now PS3 will be on the VPN.

Hope this solution works out well.
