Good day,

I am really curious about the way my brother gave me the network password. When I asked him for the password, he mentioned something about a web key.

So what is the right way for a strong password, using web?

Hi there Sam,

  • Yes there is something know as, the strength of the password for the network key.
  • It starts with WEP the WPA and then there is the length of your password. Normally the length of a password, is a combination of numbers and letters which are 0-9 and A-F which is followed by some characters, then if it should be stronger.
  • It also depends whether if it is a 32 bit, 64 bit and 128 bit. Just remember that the longer the password the stronger it is, but difficult to remember.

Hi,

WEP key is used for wireless connection. This let your wireless network secured. Most WEP key uses alpha-numeric characters of their own choice of network generated encryption.

  • You can check your WEP key by log-in to the GUI of your router.
  • Here are the steps to change the network name.
  • Go to the computer that has Internet connection, wired or wireless.
  • On your browser type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar.
  • User admin and password in the log-in credentials.
  • Go to Wireless tab and look for WEP.

These are the easy steps to check your WEP key.

WEP key strong password uses 10, 13, 26 characters. A personalized WEP key is strong encryption of choice with either of those. Alpha-numeric also uses very strong encryption because this can't be altered, infiltrate easily.
