Hi,

Reader. Please help me with this if you can. I received this error message when I launched the Holdem manager, “The following error occurred when trying to open the database: unable to read data from the transport connection:

An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.” At first, I thought it was just an update glitch and would soon be fixed, but it still persisted.

How do I get around this?

The following error occurred when trying to open the database: unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

First You need to make sure that both the 'holdemmanager.exe' and 'hmhud.exe' are running as Administrator if you’re using Windows Vista. In order do this close "Holdem Manager" and the "HUD" and right-click on each of the '.exe' files and go to their properties and look on the second tab and check run as administrator option. You will find the two .exe files at the following path: C:Program FilesRVG SoftwareHoldem Manager.

I hope this was helpful.

That seems to be a problem with your internet connection. Try troubleshooting your connection. Disconnect the network cable from the network port at the back of the CPU then plug it back in. Try it again then see if it works. If this doesn’t work, disconnect the other end of the cable from the Wi-Fi router then connect it back. See if this works.

If this doesn’t work either, try restarting the router. If your router has a power button, press it to turn it off then unplug it from the power for about ten to twenty seconds (10 – 20 seconds). Press any button on the router to drain any leftover power or to power cycle. After this, plug the router back to the power and turn it on.

See if this works. If the problem continues, check if the server is up.
