My brother has by mistake changed the password of my excel workbook and he is not able to recall it. This excel file contains important information. Can anyone help me in excel workbook password recovery or in removing the password ??
A)There exists a free of cost software which is used in Excel workbook password recovery called – The Excel Password Remover 2007. It can be used in removing, cracking or unlocking a password of Excel workbook. It is used for Excel 2010 or any other earlier version.
B) Another method is we can download the Office Excel add-in. Then open it by double clicking on it. It will open Excel and a dialog box will appear, asking if we want to enable the macros that is related with the downloaded add-in. We have to enable it for the purpose of Excel Workbook Password Recovery. Now when the Excel workbook that is having the password is opened, two different menu options will be added under Tools column. One is the Un-protect sheet and other is the Un-protect Workbook .
This is applicable for complex passwords also. With this method password can be cracked within seconds. The safety of the password depends on the encryption that is used to save the password. Since Excel uses weak encryption, therefore, it doesn’t matter how complex the password is; it can be cracked without any difficulty.
