I recently woke up to a blank screen logo on my Nokia e63. Can someone advice me promptly what could have gone wrong as i have not installed anything new or exposed it to any harmful thing , not even a fall or a wet encounter. I have never encountered a blank logo on my Nokia e63 before.

This seems to be software issue. You must flash your Nokia e63 using factory default firmware and hopefully your problem will be resolved. To flash your handset you can use this link: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f528/please-help-me-flash-nokia-e63-rm-437-a-859426/ for video with step-by-step guidance watch the below video.

But you have to compromise with your Data in phone flash like messages, phonebook, etc.

Hey Johnny Thompson,

Nokia E63 is symbian handset and it needs only to reset once to get itself at factory firmware settings. First, diagnose the problem by making a call on your phone number. This would tell us whether the OS is working and receiving the call or not. If the call has successfully gone through, it means your cell is working but the LCD is faulty. If you have hardware issue, you must have to consult the vendor or visit nearest Nokia Care Center to get it fixed. If you have software issue (stated above), try to resolve this with following guidelines:

  • Note: Make sure to backup every thing via Nokia PC Suite (Contacts, Messages, Emails, Calendar etc).
  • Turn your cell off and turn it back to on by holding 3 keys simultaneously (3, * and Shift key). Keep holding those keys while NOKIA logo appears. This would restore your factory restore settings.
  • Use this code to delete user area *7370#.
  • If the problem persists, remove the memory card and remove any SIMS and turn it on at offline mode.

I hope this solution will be helpful.
