Hi,

I hope you will be fine. I am facing a problem using Microsoft PowerPoint. I received this error message when I tried to open this application. How can I resolve this error message? Your help would be appreciated.

You can’t open the application “Microsoft PowerPoint” because it is not responding.

If the message says the program is not responding, it simply means the application crashed or freezes. If this happens, click OK or just close the dialog box and restart your computer. Try launching the application again and see if it works. If the same error appeared again saying Microsoft Office PowerPoint is not responding, you should try re-installing the application.

Since the affected program is only Microsoft Office PowerPoint, don’t uninstall the entire Microsoft Office suite. Uninstall Microsoft Office PowerPoint within Microsoft Office from the Control Panel. Click Start, Control Panel, and select “Add or Remove Programs”. On the list, scroll down and select Microsoft Office then click Change.

On the next screen, select “Add or Remove Features” then click Continue. Next, select Microsoft Office PowerPoint then click on the dropdown list and select Not Available.

Once it is set, click Continue and wait until it is finished. Restart your computer. Repeat the same steps to go back to the last screen or the Installation Options screen. Once you are there, select Microsoft Office PowerPoint and select either “Run from My Computer” or “Run all from My Computer” from the dropdown list.

Click Continue and wait until it is finished. Try launching Microsoft Office PowerPoint and see if it works. These steps are for Microsoft Windows users. If you are using OS X and the issue is only with Microsoft Office PowerPoint, it would be wise to uninstall the entire Microsoft Office suite and install it back for better troubleshooting.

To uninstall Microsoft Office, click Go, Applications, and then drag the Microsoft Office folder to Trash. Restart the computer. Or if you only need Microsoft Office PowerPoint, install only Microsoft Office PowerPoint.
