Hello Janet,

There are some things that you will need to check on your computer and make sure that they are working properly.

  • First, you will need to check and make sure that the Wi-Fi button on your computer has been turned. When you try to connect the Wi-Fi with the while it is disabled then it will definitely not work.
  • You will need to go the device drivers and verify that the Wi-Fi drivers were indeed installed when you updated them from the manufacturer's site.
    • On your computer, go to start, and then locate Computer and right click on it.
    • Next click on system properties and then click on device manager.
    • In the device manager window, locate the Wi-Fi driver and see if it has been installed correctly.
    • In case it has got a yellow question mark on it, it means that the driver has not yet been installed, and therefore you will need to update it online.

Carl
