It is quite easy to create a network in Windows 7. You can create a home group easily. Just follow the given steps:

1. After installing windows it will prompt you make a network. Click on home group and it will take some time to configure your system.

Select a location for the Shire Network

2. Now select the files you want to share.

3. A new window will appear and will give you a password. You have to use this password to connect the other devices to network.

Create a HomeGroup

And it’s all done here. Just three steps and you are done. But remember that on the entire PC in the network there should be a password protection. Meaning, each user should have a password on his account. Without password Windows7 will not make a network connection.

There are 2 ways to network a printer, via Ethernet cable of wireless connection.

Wireless printer – Printer must have a built-in wireless adapter installed. Turn on the wireless printer and do the set-up installation using the CD driver. You'll need SSID and WEP to connect to the network.

Via Ethernet cord – Plugged the printer into the network, via a hub or router. You'll need either USB or Ethernet cord to do the installation. A CD is provided by your printer manufacturer to guide you on the installation.

Go to Start, Control Panel and Hardware and Sound then Printers.

Go to Add a Printer and choose Add a Network, Wireless or Bluetooth printer then the steps will guide you to the installation wizard.
