If you want to share big files, it usually gives trouble to someone who need to download the file, this happens to everyone who is on a slow connection, or maybe in dial up connection.

People who use that type of connection might feel really depressed, because it is really time consuming to download the file that is big, and the most depressing experience is when you almost finish the download but connection disconnected suddenly, which mean you need to start from scratch.

The best solution to this is, you might want to split your big file into smaller size and upload the files again, this can help people with slow connection. The good news, is there are software that can do this, one of the software is HJSplit and what's best is, this software is freeware and it is used to combine or split the files you want.

HJSplit can work under windows, BSD, Linux, Windows 3.x, machintosh, DOS, OS/2, PHP, Amiga, and Java. Other strong features this program has been, it is compatible with all of the operating system and can interchange the file without problem, example if you split the file using windows 7, later you can joined everything on Linux without problems. This software helps making it easier for you to send files or download file with smaller size than when you send it in one big size (Exception if you and the receiver have very fast and stable connection).

To download this useful software, visit HJ-Split|Freeware multi-platform file splitters.

Hi Priscilla Hilyard,

To compress files that have big data for sharing, you may zip the files or compress it by converting it to a rar file. In order to do this, you may download the rar converter, "WinRar." Here is the link where you will download it: http://www.win-rar.com/download.html?&L=0

After you have installed WinRar to your computer, place all the files that you wish to compress and put it in one folder. Select this file and then right-click on the mouse. Choose the "Add to (name of file).rar" option.

This should lower the size if your files.

Hope this helps you.
