Hi! I can’t seem to install Ubuntu 12.04 and I was hoping someone can help me out here. I get an error message whenever I install it. I’ll paste the message below;

“dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/plexmediaserver_0.9.6.1.89-3c84bb7_amd64.deb (–unpack):

corrupted filesystem tarfile – corrupted package archive

dpkg-deb: error: subprocess paste was killed by signal (Broken pipe)

Errors were encountered while processing:

/var/cache/apt/archives/plexmediaserver_0.9.6.1.89-3c84bb7_amd64.deb

E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)”

I tried to re-download the install package, but it didn’t work. Can someone help me out here? Thank you so much!

First thing you need to make sure what is your system architecture and processor family. Is this like your processor is 64bit AMD processor. Here the above packages that it was trying to install is of AMD 64 bit. If your processor is of same family then the issue is not with your system it could be the Ubuntu which we need to put them in Ubuntu open forums. If it was trying to install on intel 64 then also we need to post the issue in Ubuntu forms. I have doubt did the OS completely got installed or not. If OS got installed then you can install these packages manually by browsing the other packages providing sites.
