Having problems while configuring the email in Lotus notes using BIS

Hi,

I’m having problems while configuring the email in Lotus notes using BIS. I have tried several times combining various password, username, mail id, server’s address etc, but still I’m unable to get through the validation process.

Could it be that there is a problem with Lotus Notes? Can this problem be solved by modifying the Domino side?

Please give your opinion.

Hi,

Did you set up your blackberry account? I guess you have. After setting up your account you will be asked which protocol to follow – IMAP or POP3. What you need to do is select either IMAP or POP3 protocol after setting up your account. 

Then check the server document. If you selected IMAP then check the IMAP server document.

If you selected POP3, then select the POP3 document.

Verify that the protocols are enabled on your device. If they are not enabled, then select the enable option so that you can set up your account successfully.

After this process, restart your phone and set up your account. For more information you can visit BIS support –
