Hi, I currently have a Windows 7 verison where I want to install the updates. But, everytime I want to update, an error saying window update error code 80072ee2 is shown in the dialogue box. Please help?

If you receive error code “80072ee2” when installing or using Windows Update, try this method to fix it. Click “Start,” “All Programs,” “Accessories,” and then “Command Prompt.” In the command prompt window, type without quotes “regedit” then hit Enter. In the Registry Editor window, navigate to this location: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate]. On the right pane, delete the following keys if available:
After this, close the registry editor and then click “Start,” “Control Panel,” “Performance and Maintenance,” “Administrative Tools,” and then “Services.” In “Services” window, go along the list and look for the “Windows Update” service. Right-click it and select “Restart.” See if this works.
