 Hi,

There may be problem with the power supply cable. Your Hard Disk will be detected if you can change the power supply cable with your Hard Disk. There may be problem with the Hard Disk daisy chain. Check the Hard Disk daisy chain. You can replace it to a good one. Your Hard Disk will be detected. You can also replace the circuit board of your Hard Disk with a good one to detect your Hard Disk. However, you can also repair the circuit board of your Hard Disk but it requires good knowledge on electronics. Your Hard Disk will be detected.

I hope you understand it.

Thanks

The reason why your hard drive is not detected is because your IDE cable is misplace, you need to open your computer unit so that you can adjust your cable just uninstalled it then reinstalled again. After that you need to check on BIOS setting to change the first boot of your computer, just choose the hard drive for first boot of the system, then save that settings when your done.

Try to restart your computer to see if the new settings is applied, your first boot should be your hard drive if still your hard drive is not recognize or your computer still didn't detect your hard drive, its time to replace your IDE cable with a new one because usually with this kind of problem it is always the cable that is become the source of the problem whether its your hard drive to your dvd -cd writer.
