Handcent remove jumper disable double notifications when using handcent SMS. These threads popping up every day. Why there are double notifications and how to disable those double notifications?

There is straight forward solution for this,

  1. Open 'Messaging'
  2. Select the second icon from the left at the bottom by pushing it
  3. Tap on 'Settings"
  4. Scroll down to find the 'Notifications' check box and uncheck it
  5. Also uncheck 'Auto retrieve' check box

That's it you are free of the annoying notifications.
