In order to get a new IP address-

  1. Open an elevated command prompt on your pc
  2. Then type the command ipconfig/release and then hit enter to release the IP address
  3. Then type the command ipconfig/renew and then hit enter. This will make the DHCP server to assign a new IP address for your computer.

This is how you do it.

If you are subscribed to a monthly internet plan or a postpaid plan, most of the time, ISPs or Internet Service Providers set their subscribers to DHCP connections. DHCP means Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol. It is a network management protocol used to allocate or assign an IP address dynamically to a device or node on a network to allow communication using IP.

When you’re on a DHCP connection, your IP address changes over time. ISPs do this because they offer their network as a shared network and their subscribers use shared IP addresses and not a dedicated IP address. If you want your router to change the IP address it connects to, turn off your router and unplug it from the power for about 10 to 20 seconds.

After this, plug it back to the power and turn it on. By now, you should have a different public IP address. Another way of changing your IP address is to use a proxy. If you use the Opera browser, visit SurfEasy Proxy on your Opera and install the extension. Once installed, sign up for an account to use the proxy.

The SurfEasy Proxy add-on for Opera offers free plan with limited bandwidth and you can use it to change your IP address when browsing blocked websites. When your free data is consumed, it will be refreshed the following month.
