I recently installed a graphic card (NVIDIA) on my pc.

Initially it worked good but, after 2 months of use its seem to be not working.

Can virus harm graphic card?

It won't affect your graphic card but it will be damage due to the heat. Viruses can weighed down your computer system and the graphic card and the CPU will overheat at some point. Most of the time, your PC will turn itself off if it overheats. The virus will only damaged the software installed on your PC and since the graphic card is a hardware connected on your CPU, it will not be affected if your PC has a virus.

Maybe your graphic card is having issues due to the temperature where your CPU is placed or maybe you tend to do things that you should not do such as amending the resolution on your computer which leads the graphic card to give up and the monitor is blank.

Hi there,

I think you need help regarding the malfunction of the graphic cards.

You told you have just bought it before 2 months.

I don't think any heat or other causes other than manufacturing defect can cause this.

I think you are living in an area full of dust or your PC cover may not be in proper or put aside.

You have to clean the graphic card Graphic card slot and the golden pins.

Remove the cabinet Push your finger on the opposite side of the remover and then pull the graphic card.

Now swipe of the dust and strongly blow to the Slot on your motherboard.
