I downloaded the freeware PDF ReDirect.  After a successful installation, I had this error message while running it. I tried reinstalling said software but still got the same error.  I tried searching the internet but it seems their website is inaccessible.

Can someone help me resolve the error? I really do not know what to do next.

Hi Sheldonw,

Try this steps if it helps.

  • Click Start button. Click Run.
  • Type "eventvwr". This opens the Windows Event Viewer.
  • Click the Application log.
  • Look for events logged by the your application. The value for the Source column would be PDF or any name associated to PDF software.
  • Look for an error event logged. Another way to do this it so filter the events.
  • Once you found it double click the event to view the details.
  • On the General tab, read the description of the error. It is possible that the name of the component that is missing which causes the application to fail is written in the description. If you are lucky to find it, take necessary actions like downloading the missing module from the internet and put it in the install directory of the PDF software.

I hope it helps.

If you are seeing this error on a newly installed program, check that the program is compatible with your computer. If you installed an older version, it is possible that your current operating system is not yet supported. To fix the problem, download the latest version. To download the latest, go to PDF reDirect Professional and download the latest.

Once downloaded, download the free version of Revo Uninstaller and install it. Once installed, start Revo Uninstaller then select the currently installed PDF reDirect Professional among the applications and click “Uninstall”. Follow the normal uninstall process. When uninstall is complete, click “Scan” to scan your computer for any leftover files and delete everything it finds. This removes everything the program created on your computer.

When it is finished, close Revo Uninstaller then install the latest PDF reDirect Professional you downloaded. See if this works. The latest version at the moment, PDF reDirect Professional 2.5.2, supports Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10. Microsoft Windows Vista is not supported.
