Hi,

I have recently updated my Google Nexus 7 to 4.4.1 and each time my Tablet goes into sleep mode, I usually find that it has gone off, I have checked all settings and I cannot find anything unusual, what could be the problem? How can I stop this?

Google Nexus 7 switching off when in sleep mode

In several occasions it has been observed that Google Nexus looses battery charge heavily during sleep mode. Thus if your phone remains unused for several hour, it may shut down completely owing to battery loosing charge at a constant rate. This could be due to running applications like Skype, GPS, Wifi, Bluetooth, Internet etc which uses lots of battery even when it goes into sleep mode. Another issue could be associated with settings. You can try turning off the Day Dream feature. If nothing works, I would suggest a factory re-set after you have taken back up of all necessary artefacts and applications. Alternatively, try using airplane mode rather than the normal mode when not in use and observe the battery drainage issue. However, instead of trying all of them if still the problem continues, I recommend you to get in touch with service center and get your battery checked up thoroughly as it may require replacement.
